Your support is vital...

in helping us to enrich the lives and preserve the dignity of our city’s seniors. Thanks to the charitable giving of people like you, PCA will continue to provide quality programs and services to older Philadelphians in need. Please give what you can.

The following are funds to which you can donate.

The Philadelphia Fund for Seniors
Gifts to The Philadelphia Fund for Seniors will allow PCA to help more older Philadelphians and improve the quality of their lives. PCA programs and services help seniors achieve maximum levels of health, independence, and productivity. At this time, the elderly population is growing in both frailty and numbers, with state and federal funding not keeping pace with the requests for support, and in some crucial areas funds being significantly cut. The Funds’ goal is to help our elderly, especially those with the greatest social, economic, and health needs, receive the services they need to help maintain their well-being.  Click here for more information.

The Emergency Fund
The Emergency Fund for Older Philadelphians helps to meet basic human needs for those who have exhausted all other resources. Some of those in need are cold, others are hungry. Some can’t pay for medicine. Many seniors choose between heating their homes to stay warm, eating three meals a day, and taking the full dosage of their medicine – choices no one should have to make. The Fund, administered by Philadelphia Corporation for Aging to aid vulnerable seniors since 1979, is often the last resort for hundreds of low-income senior citizens in crisis. Private Funds for Pressing Needs
PCA's public funding is insufficient to meet the expanding and complex needs of Philadelphia's senior population. In addition, the government funds PCA receives are restricted to supporting specific programs. To address the need for more funding, PCA raises money from private sources - foundations, companies and individuals.
