| “Celebrate Arts and Aging” Highlights Older Americans Month
Two centenarians are among the artists whose work is on display
Philadelphia - Centenarian Yuk Fai Tsang disavows that his impressive Chinese watercolors result from any special talents. Rather, it’s a matter of hard work and determination. “When you want to do something, you do it,” he says. “Nothing can stop you.”
Fai and fellow painter Leo Weisz, 102, will be among the 170-plus artists whose work will be on display in three exhibits during Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA)’s 11th annual “Celebrate Arts and Aging” festivities in May. There will also be special discounts for older adults to enjoy museums, theaters and concerts; and workshops and classes where they can cultivate their own creativity. The festivities are supported in part by PECO.
