These options may include assisted living facilities, personal care boarding homes, domiciliary care homes, continuing care retirement communities, Elder Cottage Housing, or nursing homes, for those requiring a higher level of care. In addition, low-income seniors who wish to live independently in the community may be eligible for subsidized housing.

This program serves consumers of long-term care, including participants at older adult day centers and residents of nursing homes, personal care homes and domiciliary care homes. The ombudsmen help protect residents' rights and investigate complaints.
